Most students don’t sleep due to last minute projects, assignments, and homework. Getting more than six hours of sleep helps the brain continue to develop, allows a person to retain more knowledge, and provides better health overall. Pulling all nighters for last minute papers or studying is never more effective than getting sleep.

Ways to get a good night’s rest

  1. Stick to a sleep schedule of the same bedtime and wake up time, even on the weekends.
  2. Practice a relaxing bedtime ritual.
  3. If you have trouble sleeping, avoid naps, especially in the afternoon.
  4. Exercise daily.
  5. Evaluate your room.
